Drishti IAS Asmita Exam Pattern:
Preliminary Exam:
– Two papers will be conducted on the same day.
– Each paper will have a duration of 2 hours.
– Paper 1: General Studies with 100 questions, each carrying 2 marks. For every wrong answer, a deduction of one-third marks (0.67) will be made.
– Paper 2: CSAT with 80 questions, each carrying 2.5 marks. For every wrong answer, a deduction of one-third marks (0.83) will be made.
– The examination centers are in Delhi, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Jaipur, Bhopal, Raipur, Patna, Ranchi, Dehradun, Shimla, and Chandigarh.
– The exam pattern is similar to the Federal Civil Services Examination (UPSC CSE).
Main Exam:
– Approximately 500 candidates will be selected based on preliminary examination marks.
– The Main examination will be held in Delhi, Prayagraj, Jaipur, Bhopal, and Patna.
– The examination consists of three papers, and candidates will have 3 hours to solve each paper.
– Paper 1: Essay writing for 250 marks with a time limit of 2 hours.
– Paper 2: General English for 100 marks with a time limit of 1 hour.
– The first two papers will be taken in the first session.
– Paper 3: General Studies with questions on History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Ethics, Sci-Tech, etc., totaling 20 questions. Candidates will get three hours to solve this paper.
– The answer sheet of the General English paper will be evaluated first in the main examination.
Interview:
– Top 125 students out of 500 will be selected for the interview.
– The interview will be conducted in Delhi.
– The duration of the interview will be around 1 hour.
– The interview will be of 200 marks.
Eligibility Criteria for Drishti IAS Asmita UPSC Scholarship:
1. Age Limit: As of 1st August 2024, the applicant’s age should adhere to the following:
- – General/EWS category: 30 years
- – OBC category: 33 years
- – SC/ST category: 35 years
- – PwBD/PH category: 37 years
2. Prelims Exam: The candidate must have cleared the preliminary examination at least once in the Civil Service Examination conducted by the UPSC or the State Level Civil Service Examination conducted by the State public service commission.
3. Remaining Attempts: Candidates should have a minimum of two attempts left in the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
4. Employment Status: Applicants should not be currently employed in any government or private organization.
5. No Other Scholarships: Candidates should not be receiving any other scholarship from the central or state government, university, or other institutes where the scholarship amount exceeds Rs. 5000 per month.
6. Preference to Disadvantaged Groups: During the selection process, priority will be given to candidates from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Women, Scheduled Castes and Tribes (SC/ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Divyang (Physically Challenged), Minorities, and other disadvantaged groups.

Application Fee:
Candidates applying for the scholarship program are required to submit a non-refundable lump sum payment of Rs. 500 as the examination fee. This fee is to be paid at the time of submitting the scholarship application. However, no application fee or examination fee is required for applying for the main examination and interview.
Application Procedure for Drishti IAS Asmita Scholarship Scheme 2024:
1. Visit the official website of Drishti IAS Asmita.
2. Click on the “Register” option and complete the registration process through mobile number OTP submission.
3. Select the “Asmita छात्रवृत्ति योजना 2023-24” from the available options.
4. The application form will open in a new tab. Fill in all the required details in the form.
5. Upload the scanned documents as asked in the application form.
6. Click on “Apply Now” to submit your application.
7. Pay the examination fee of Rs. 500/- (including GST) through the online payment method.
8. Take a printout of the application form and payment submission for future reference.
